Microfiber is a man-made material that combines two fibers, polyester and polyamide. The polyester gives the material strength and durability, the polyamide allows the fabric to be tremendously absorbent and quick drying. These fibers are very thin, making them very pliable and soft so you don't have to worry about any of your microfibers instilling scratches or swirl on your car's surfaces. In addition to that, the thin fibers absorb water much more quickly, allowing microfibers to absorb more than 7 times their own weight in water! Regardless of the detailing task you are undertaking, if you need a towel to do it, using microfiber is the way to go!
Microfiber come in many different sizes, weaves, and fiber lengths. Each detailing task requires a microfiber with a certain combination of these 3 characteristics. Choosing the correct microfiber to the job is extremely important to getting the results that you want. If you use a glass towel that has longer fibers and a loose weave, you are going to end up with a ton of streaks. If you use a waterless wash with a towel that has short fibers, it will not be absorbent enough and you will have to take multiple passes and risk scratching the surface. Since you are going to need many different types of microfiber towels (and a large quantity of each type), we offer a huge selection of every kind of microfiber you will ever need!
Because your microfibers are going to see a lot of use and washes, it is crucial that you stock up on microfibers that are durable enough to survive it! Each of the microfibers we carry were woven with the strongest materials, so they can last as long as possible. Sure, you could by lower quality microfibers for a cheaper price, but you would be replacing them a lot more frequently and spending more money in the long run! We make sure that all our microfibers are as durable as they can be without being too cost prohibitive. We even offer kits and bulk packs on most of our microfibers to help you save even more money!
Caring for any of these microfiber towels is easy. Wash the cloth in the washing machine with a microfiber detergent like the Pinnacle Micro Rejuvenator or any detergent that does not contain fabric softener. Tumble dry your microfibers on with little or no heat.
