Porter Cable 7424 Dual Action Polisher
Built to last, this rugged 3.7 amp polisher has 100% ball bearing construction. The spiral and bevel gearing provides for smooth operation and efficient transfer of power. A variable speed dial sets the orbit rate between 2,500 and 6,000 orbits per minute for precise control. The speed dial is on the end of the motor, out of the way, preventing accidental changing of the speed. A handy slide switch prevents hand fatigue when the unit must be run for the extended periods of time that polishing operations require. The random orbit action of the special six-inch polishing pad provides a smooth, swirl-free finish. An included side handle fits either the left or right side for maximum comfort. This tempered approach to polishing eliminates imperfections while being extremely gentle on the paint. Pinnacle’s diminishing abrasives are tempered to break down slowly and evenly under the motion of the oscillating pad. A dual action polisher provides just the right motion and friction to maximize the performance and working time of these abrasives. This approach softens the abrasives’ impact on the paint, which ultimately preserves more of the paint. Natural carnauba wax gives Crystal Mist Carnauba Detail Spray its distinctive, wet-looking shine. Carnauba, combined with crystalline polymers, creates sharp reflections and silky paint. This state-of-the-art carnauba-polymer matrix also enables Crystal Mist to bond to the existing wax for an instant but long-lasting gloss. On top of Liquid Souveran Wax, Crystal Mist reactivates the existing wax so you’re not just seeing a surface gloss – you’re seeing the depth and dimension of multiple layers of carnauba.
Detailer's Tip: Mist the foam pad with Crystal Mist Carnauba Detail Spray prior to applying a polish or wax. The damp pad will spread the product more easily than a dry pad.
6.5 Inch CCS Orange Light Cutting Pad
Firm, high density foam for scratch and defect removal. Use this pad with polishes and swirl removers. It’s an all around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections.
6.5 Inch CCS White Polishing Pad
High absorption foam formula for the application of waxes, micro-fine polishes and sealants. This pad has very light cutting power so its perfect for pre-wax cleaners.
6.5 Inch CCS Blue Finessing Pad
Flat pad has soft composition for applying glaze, finishing polish, sealants, and liquid waxes. Flat pad provides full contact with paint surface to minimize the pressure applied by the user. Use the blue pad to remove products or for final buffing.
5 Inch Flexible Backing Plate
With hook facing, this plate allows you to switch pads quickly and continue polishing. A recessed edge and flexible urethane construction gives your paint extra protection from run-ins with the backing plate. Strict tolerances on weight, balance, roundness, and flatness ensure consistent performance time and time again.
2 Cobra Microfiber Towels
Use these microfiber detailing cloths for drying, buffing, or as a finishing wipe down. Microfiber is designed to be light, strong, super-absorbent and quick drying. The fibers are non-abrasive, and are woven so tightly that it’s absolutely lint free and extremely durable. Unbelievably, these ultra-tough fibers are engineered to absorb seven times their weight in moisture. When using on windows, it produces a streak-free finish.
Remember, swirls are created by dirty towels and wash tools, or terry towels that have hardened after repeated uses. The best prevention is using clean wash tools with a high lubricity shampoo, like Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo.
