Advanced Curved Edge 8.5'' CCS Foam Pad Kit

For big compounding jobs it helps to have big pads. The 8.5” Curved Edge Foam Pad Kit for circular polishers is just what the doctor ordered. The larger pads enable you to cover more area and finish the job faster. Good news for people with huge vehicles!

This kit includes variable contact pads with a curved edge. The edge allows the operator to vary pressure by applying the pad head on, or tilting it to achieve less pressure. Typical pads have an angular edge that provides almost no contact with the paint when the polisher is tilted. Because these full contact pads have a curved edge, they maintain a large contact area with your paint even when tilted. In effect, you get more pad for your money.The flat center reduces the amount of pressure the user must apply to get optimum pad-to-paint contact. The recessed top edge of the pad prevents contact between the backing plate and your paint.

Curved edge pads are available in five levels of abrasiveness to address any surface problem. With the 8.5” Curved Edge Foam Pad Kit, you get one of each variety, and two microfiber towels.

1 CCS 8.5 inch Yellow Cutting Pad
This pad has the most cut of any of the curved edge pads. It’s suitable for removing moderate to severe swirls, scratches, and oxidation from older or neglected vehicles. We recommend using the orange pad first so that you don’t use a more aggressive pad than is necessary.

1 CCS 8.5 inch Orange Light Cutting Pad
The orange pad is perfect for light to moderate paint blemishes. Used with a mild swirl remover, this is an excellent all-around pad. It will take care of most surface problems without using the yellow pad.

1 CCS 8.5 inch White Polishing Pad
The white pad is intended to apply pre-wax cleansers and polishes. It has virtually no cut and will not abrade your clear coat.

1 CCS 8.5 inch Black Finishing Pad
This pad is designed to apply waxes and sealants. The absorbent foam is nonabrasive and clear coat safe.

1 CCS 8.5 inch Blue Final Finishing Pad
This soft pad applies paint glaze in an ultra thin, even coat. It can be used to apply wax, also. The blue pad puts the perfect finishing touch on your paint.

2 Cobra Deluxe Jr. Microfiber Towels(16 x 16 inches)
The Cobra Deluxe Jr. is an incredibly thick, fluffy weave of 70/30 microfiber. Silky microfiber fingers massage any surface to a glossy shine with zero risk of micro-marring. The towel features a microfiber edge and a removable sticker instead of a tag. Use the Cobra Deluxe Jr. to remove wax or for final buffing.

1 Cobra Quik Clenz Pad Cleaner Packet
Wash used foam and wool pads in Cobra Quik Clenz Pad Cleaner. Dissolve this 2 oz. packet into 2-3 gallons of water. Soak pads and microfiber tools in the solution for up to 15 minutes and agitate if necessary. The citrus cleaner quickly breaks up oily residues within foam and wool to restore the texture of the pads. Let the pads air dry, backing side up.

We recommend a 7” Flexible Backing Plate for these pads. If your circular polisher came with a 6 Ľ” backing plate or a 6 ˝” backing plate, these will work. However, the 7” plate will provide more stability for these larger pads.
